The term ‘fashion’ is itself so fascinating that you get into the hold of it.
Since childhood, I used to follow the latest fashion trend. I remember days when my sister and I used to have that ramp walk trying out different outfits. Even during the college days, I used to mix and match outfits wearing different styles everyday.
Back in 2017, one day randomly my sister proposed this idea to me to start my Instagram blog. Luckily, since then I’ve been at it and creating content. And now there is no going back! I made a new account and started blogging covering up areas like food, travel, lifeline, and fashion.
Though at the preliminary level I covered various fields, eventually I paid my attention towards fashion. Now it’s been a year that I’m focusing on fashion blogging.
Choosing blogging as a full-time career is obviously doubtful for the parents because they know the struggles and the fear of failing. But I was firm and confident that I’ll prove myself to them. When I started getting collaborations, started going to different meets, and multiple restaurants for their launch and reviewing the food in Delhi NCR, they were a bit convinced.
Grass on the other side always looks greener. This justifies our viewer’s response as for them putting up a blog is a cakewalk. But trust me, it isn’t. It requires a lot of effort behind every single picture. We have tasks lined up for us and there involves a lot of struggle creating decent blogs.
The first important and very difficult task is to gain genuine followers. The next is to find suitable and genuine engagements, with which we can collaborate. The next is a good quality picture which requires a concept behind it and the way it should be executed. Next is a fair quality photographer to capture the idea in the same way it is processed. So, it’s not just a mental drain but involves financial strength as well. An hour or so is required to edit the picture and to think of a relatable caption.
Never judge a book by its cover because there are a lot of struggles beneath the actual output. One should always be patient while working in this field and be ready to face the ups and downs. It is not necessary that we receive the same response every time we put up something. For the viewer, it is a good picture but for the person working behind the big picture, it’s an output of their hard work. Life teaches us to never lose hope and be determined towards our work without worrying about the output. And if you’ve invested your time and hard work into something, don’t worry it will always yield you promising results.
